Adele Taylor

Adele trained at Sheffield City Polytechnic, earning a B.A (Hons) in Three Dimensional Design, Silversmithing, and Jewellery, and graduated in 1988.

An obsessive hoarder, Adele collects interesting objects, often drawn to them because of their texture. These objects are then cast in silver and 18 ct gold to create jewellery pieces or small-scale objects, such as a tiny flower vase just big enough to hold a single bloom. These hoarded items often carry sentimental value, serving as reminders of specific moments, like gathering objects during a holiday, giving the resulting jewellery pieces hidden significance. Adele’s family has also joined in collecting items, adding to the continuous evolution of her creative process.

Adele’s newest colour palette is inspired by volcanic landscapes; with soft grey diamonds and yellow rose-cut sapphires. These geological textures are recreated through softly forged shapes in oxidised silver with highlights of gold.
