The work of nine new BA and MA graduates from schools across the UK will go on display at the upcoming Out The Blue exhibition at the Kath Libbert Jewellery Gallery.
Award winning jewellery designer Francesca Flynn, a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art will exhibit her sparkling collection of crystal jewellery. For her graduate project, Flynn began growing her own crystals which she then developed into a fully fledged collection.
Edinburgh College of Art graduate Marika Sumioka will show her collection of jewellery inspired by Japanese architecture and fellow ECA alumni Cristina Zani will show pieces inspired by her travels in South Korea and the writing of Italo Calvino.
Nabla Pall, yet another ECA graduate, will show colourful works that draw references from the circus and exotic birds. Similarly playful yet aesthetically stark is the work of RCA London graduate Joanna Hemsley whose work contains hidden elements that surprise and entertain the wearer. Heather Woof will also be there, showing her collection of jewellery inspired by Scotland’s rugged outdoors and unpredictable weather!
